When Dr. Quaice, an elderly man, is beamed aboard by Chief O'Brien, he and Dr. Crusher begin talking about his life while they walk through corridors on the way to his quarters. Dr. Quaice's wife has died recently, so he is giving up his post in Starfleet and retiring. He tells Dr. Crusher that the worst part of growing old is that all of one's friends, all the people from one's life are gone, and that one never takes the time to appreciate them in their lifetime. Dr. Crusher agrees, telling him that even though she and her late husband, Jack R. Crusher, only had a few years together, she feels the same way. She continues contemplating what Dr. Quaice said.
Back on the beach, Jack and Juliet are worrying about the helicopter, as they haven't heard from Desmond or Sayid for a day. They question Charlotte and Daniel as to why there is no news of their friends. Charlotte is indifferent even though, as Juliet points out, the freighter is only 40 miles away which is about 20 minutes of flying. Juliet's main concern is that neither Charlotte nor Daniel seem at all concerned. Against Charlotte's wishes, Daniel admits that the perception of time on the Island might be different than the time experienced off the Island. He says that as long as Frank uses the bearings that were given to him, the people on the helicopter should be fine. If not, there could be \"side-effects.\"
Desmond is in the rain, standing while all the others in his platoon do crunches. The Sergeant-Major ridicules him again and makes the entire platoon run as a punishment for Desmond's erratic behavior. Afterwards, Desmond speaks to Billy, one of his friends in the platoon and tells him about the \"dreams\" he has been experiencing. His friend is in disbelief and asks if there was anyone he knew in the \"dream\". Desmond remembers that in the helicopter he was holding a photo of Penny. He hurries to a nearby phone booth to call her. However, just as he is about to go in, someone bumps into him, sarcastically thanking him for the extra work the Sergeant-Major made them do on the account of Desmond's disobedience. As Desmond reaches down to pick up the dropped coins, his consciousness returns to the freighter.
In May 2013, Mitch Hurwitz encouraged everyone to watch the 15 episodes in order. In October 2014 Hurwitz announced he was re-editing Season Four to be in chronological order. In May 2018, Hurwitz announced the re-edit would be titled Season Four Remix: Fateful Consequences and would release May 4, 2018 on Netflix. The re-edited season is more like the original pacing of the the original three seasons and is comprised of 22 episodes.
Starting with the announcement of the May 26, 2013 premiere date on April 4 Netflix began their Season Four marketing campaigns. They utilized both traditional marketing techniques (billboards and posters) as well as modern and viral marketing such as YouTube fan made videos and engagement via their official Facebook page and @ArrestedDev Twitter account. The social media accounts encouraged fans to participate in \"Bananathon\", a marathon re-watch of the first three seasons over three weeks.
In Eddie's eyes, Chrissy is catatonic, her eyes rapidly blinking. She begins to levitate and, as he watches in horror, her bones snap in unnatural directions. Her eyes spill blood, then suck back into her skull. It's easily the most explicit shock of violence in Stranger Things history, a gut-churning tease of what's most certainly the series' most horror-inspired season.
In Hawkins, Max wakes from a nightmare to find cops speeding towards Eddie's. Outside, she sees Chrissy's mangled body. Later, she recalls three things to Dustin: the oddness of seeing Eddie and Chrissy together; the strange way her trailer's lights flickered in the night; and how right after they flickered, she heard Eddie scream and saw him flee in his van. Could he have killed Chrissy Dustin is unconvinced, and he and Max go to Family Video with a mission: Use the store's surplus of phones to call Eddie's friends and find out where he went. With Steve and Robin's help, they narrow their search to the seemingly empty lakehouse of a drug dealer, Reefer Rick. A petrified Eddie is hiding in the boathouse. He tells the four of them about what happened to Chrissy, assuming they'll think he's crazy. They tell him about the Upside Down. Not so crazy anymore.
Eleven, who remains petrified of Brenner, feels betrayed. When Owens brings her to the lab he fashioned beneath the desert, he makes it seem as if she's amongst friends. She's a celebrity here, he says, noting that the white-coated scientists lining the hallways have given up their lives in service to her potential. That won't stop them, however, from jabbing a needle in her neck when she tries to make a break for it. Owens and his nerd army may admire her, but they won't hesitate to bend her to their will. Thus, the reemergence of Brenner, as effective as he is cruel.
Meanwhile, on the other end of town, Jason and the jocks break into Reefer Rick's, where Eddie is still hiding out. When they venture to the boat house, Eddie sets off in a dingy boat with a broken motor. Jason and Patrick (Myles Truitt) dive in after him, nearly catching him before the curse manifests, Voorhees-style, in the lake's dark depths. Patrick, you see, has seen the grandfather clock. His time has come. Jason and Eddie watch in horror as Patrick is sucked under, then shot up and into the sky, where his bones snap and eyes disappear.
Chandler sees Kathy in Central Perk and decides to ask her out, only to learn she was already waiting for a date... with Joey. Despite her relationship with Joey, Chandler develops very strong feelings for Kathy as the two interact, such as the two watching a late-night movie together and Chandler subsequently buying her an expensive first edition of her favorite childhood book- The Velveteen Rabbit - for a birthday present (although he allowed Joey to give it to her when he was stuck for present ideas, Kathy nevertheless guessed that Chandler was the person who originally bought the gift), and becomes depressed because he cannot be with her. Eventually, he learns that she has feelings for him as well while giving him a haircut, and they kiss.
When Joey learns of this, it nearly ruins their friendship, to the point where Joey contemplated moving out, until Chandler agrees to get in a wooden crate and think about the ways he wronged Joey (Joey having spent a similar amount of time trapped in their old entertainment unit with a similar train of thought when they were robbed). When Kathy comes over to tell Chandler she cannot be with him because she doesn't want to ruin his and Joey's friendship, Joey finally agrees to forgive Chandler, releasing him from the box. On Joey's urging, Chandler catches up to Kathy outside and kisses her, beginning their relationship.
Cyrus and his friends joined Tyler when he was sitting alone in the library. When Luke Holliday told them to be quiet, Cyrus and his friend gave him the middle finger. Cyrus invited Tyler over to his house, where they prepare dinner with Cyrus' dad. Cyrus expressed his hate for Liberty High School and he and his dad encourage Tyler to resist the school. Tyler and Cyrus went to the basement where they started working on a secret project; Mackenzie asked what they were doing, but Cyrus yelled at her to get out.[3]
Cyrus and Tyler make shirts with the word \"asshole\" written across the front. Cyrus explained that they're claiming the word as their own. They proudly wear it to school. When reading the blog about the Baker's trial against the school, Tyler complained to Cyrus that Ryan Shaver made Hannah Baker look bad in court. Cyrus' friend Chad came up with an idea to catfish Ryan. The three laughed at Ryan as they watched him wait for his \"date\" at Monet's.[5]
Cyrus took Tyler to a punk show that his friends also attended. He overheard Tyler yelling at Mackenzie, telling her that she's boring and he doesn't like her. This angered Cyrus; he yelled at Tyler to leave. The next day, Tyler tried to talk to Marcus about getting back at Marcus. However, Cyrus is still mad at him for how he treated his sister.[10]
Tyler had posted the pictures of he and Cyrus vandalizing the school on Facebook; Cyrus confronted him about this. Tyler defended his actions by saying it's \"punk\" and proposed to get revenge as he has guns they can use. Cyrus is afraid of getting expelled and told Tyler that they shouldn't hang out for awhile. Tyler asked Cyrus if they're still friends, to which Cyrus responded \"totally\".
When Clay was suspected of Bryce Walker's Murder, Cyrus got called in to talk to Kevin Porter. Mr. Porter asked Cyrus if he was still friends with Tyler. Cyrus responded by saying they weren't because Tyler changed and they drifted apart. He described Clay as a good and nice guy who feels responsible for people and wants to do the right thing.[15]
Cyrus and his friends joined Clay when he was sitting by himself at lunch. Cyrus told him that they should hang out more, which Clay agreed to. Clay asked if they thought he killed Bryce Walker, but Cyrus told him that they don't hang out with murderers, only the dispossessed.[16]
Cyrus and his friends are first seen this season when Clay asked them for help with letting the Find Your Drink Party go through without letting the parents find out. They quickly came up with a plan. Clay asked them how they could be punks and geeks at the same time. Cyrus told him that there aren't labels; just people. At the party, they encouraged Clay when he was smoking weed.[19] 59ce067264
